WILL'S SPRING CLEAN SPACEX

Hi. While clearing out my mother's old summerhouse at the weekend, I came across this ice cream tub with some SpaceX vehicles in it!

I had no idea it was there. I wonder if any of the Moonbase personnel have found anything interesting they didn't know was there or had forgotten about over lockdown or having a spring clean?

CULFI CUSTOM CODE 3: ED STRAKER'S CAR INSPIRATION

 

Checking Worthpoint this year I've seen loads of old sales for UFO Code 3 customs.

One prolific maker is Culfi Toy Soldiers and this is one of their custom jobs, Ed Straker's Inspiration.

Its a strange looking thing but I quite like it.

What do you think and have you come across Culfi?

GETTING RID OF SOOTY BOOKS

 The spring cleaning at Moonbase continues and we've emptied the old car boot stall stock out of the shed. Alas its been a long long winter. Damp, mildew and mice have all had something to say and our old stock is looking worse for wear, so much so, a lot just has to go.

So after a clean up with anti-bacterial wipes and a dry in the fresh air, this large pile of old annuals - Dan Dare, Sooty, Crackerjack et al - is ready to go on the local freecycle site as a job lot free to a good home.

And they've already got a taker

and gone!

Top Gun Mavericks

Hi all,

Here are photos of the only two Matchbox Sky-Busters Top Gun: Maverick single models I have been able to pick up so far. 

I am really confused about how many models there are supposed to be in this series. The information I had seen said 15, but at least one of the cards says 16, and the two models I have say 13. It could be that there are a different number of models in the series in the US and for international markets, but that is only a guess on my part. So I am not going to give a figure anymore, I shall just quote what is printed on the card.

1/13 Darkstar. This resembles the SR-71 Blackbird. Not sure if it is meant to be a manned aircraft, or a drone. There is no undercarriage, but the model comes with a clear plastic display stand that plugs into the underside of the model.

8/13 Boeing F/A-18 Super Hornet Rooster. This is the usual light grey, but with red trim. Rooster is a character in the film. No US star and bar insignia, which is odd on what is meant to be a US Navy aircraft.

The card design appears to be common to all the models in the series.
