FISHER PRICE ACTIVITY CENTRE: COT LAPTOP

A blast from the past for us at Moonbase, the Fisher Price Activity Centre!

Our daughter had one of these fun labs in her cot as a nipper. A stroke of genius, FP were ahead of the curve in the 70's in many ways and this nursery figi-cube foretold of more modern distractions like the laptop and the X-box!

It had everything a kid could want: balls, dials, bells, spinners and squeaks! Those boffins at FP even thought of a cot strut clamp that tightened to suit!

CHARMED AND FORBIDDEN

It's always good to see Apollo Moon Exploring toys on auction and these two vehicles appeared along with a small red bottomed space rocket capsule.

I've always liked this little charm toy from afar - I think its a Crackerjack? - basically a classic stub rocket with clear top and our old mate Robby the Robot from Forbidden Planet inside!

KINDER HOT RODS

Moonbase Junior, our Grandson, has quite a collection of little plastic hot rods. I think they're Kinder egg toys. There's a Hot Wheels clone at the front too!

Have you got any of these plastic miniatures?

SPANISH MOON BUGGY

There's something really neat about Paya's Jeep Lunar, their large version of the Moon Buggy.

I like the articulation and all the accessories sticking up. The pilot looks great too.

Has anyone got one of these Spanish toys?

THE MEGO HAS LANDED

I saw these pics on Worthpoint a while back and saved them.

This is the LEM by MEGO [Hong Kong]. I'm pretty sure this is not the same as the famous Mego Corp of super hero figures fame.

I like this LEM. The astronaut attached to the opening door is quite clever. Its quite a chunky toy overall by the looks of these snaps. I assume it lights up and has mystery action.

Yankee Clipper is from 2001 isn't it?

Anyone got one or any other MEGO HK toys?
