Car Boat Sale: The Italian Missile Boat

We were punters rather than sellets at today's car boot sale.

I treated myself to this huge remote control Italian missile boat.

Vosper-ish, )It could be straight out of a Gerry Anderson production! It has JR21 style missiles and a Moon Ranger type radar too! Wow!

Made by Ellegi, its called the Intrepid.

The massive box is battered and there's one missile sucker missing. Other than that it looks the biz!

CAR BOOT WEDNESDAY

Me and the Missus did a local car boot stand last Wednesday.

No vintage toys I'm afraid. Just clutter and junk, which fortunately other people enjoy.

Alas, my old golf clubs came home.

Here's another little toy-model I just finished which might be fun for Moonbase Central.

It's a 1993 reissue of a 1967 Bandai model of one of the cool spacecraft from the Ultraseven TV show. 

Complete with giant housing for windup motor underneath! Enjoy!

MORE MORTOYS: TUMBLE BULLDOZER

Another nice toy I saw online from Mortoys. I saved the pic.

Adding tumbling to a bulldozer is a neat idea and I'd love to see it in action.

Its a smart looking toy too in its bright yellow colour with red trim.

Anyone got one?

MANTA FORCE OR ZERO HOUR?

I bought this old military plastic base mountain for a squid at a sale last  Sunday.

I sort of recognised it.

Is it Manta Force? Zero Hour?

Any ideas readers?

There are sound effects too, mostly ak-ak and sirens.

VINTAGE SPANISH THUNDERBIRDS POSTCARD

I love these vintage Spanish Thunderbirds postcards I stumble across on Todocollecion.

Here's the Thunderbird 1 and for some reason the great Jeff Tracy himself [why not Scott?].

The cards have that crinkle-cut edge that most of the postcards had back then from Spain. I have some from my folks when they left me behind with my older Sister in the Sixties and early Seventies!

The famous lemon squeezer is clearly visible on the launch bay wall!

KIDS CLOCKS BACK THEN

I love this clock money box.

The rocket graphic is superb.

I saved the image from Ebay years ago.

I've been trying to recall what clock I had as a kid. It was without doubt not as interesting as this rocket one. It will have been tin and wind-up with a really loud bell alarm.

Later the tin clocks got bigger and two bells appeared on top like bike bells!
