What the heck, its nearly Christmas!

Its The Space Walker - Space Searcher toy vehicle from Echo Toys 1984.

It was released to muscle its way into the Star Wars figures craze. 

Its what I call a cuckoo toy.

I've seen it in a window box and this whole box,

What's the Star Wars figure in the cockpit?

Anyone had one/ got one?

THE LIGHT IN THE DARK

One last candle for the first December weekend.

I've lit this for my loved ones both living and long gone.

Its stood in front of an old coffee pot I've got out from the attic for Christmas. It belonged to Moonbase Junior's Great Great Grandma.

We shall be serving coffee from it this season just as Great Great Gran did fifty years ago.

Woodsy kindly sent me some scrap parts recently that I could use in model making. Included were parts that made little racing cars. 

I remember these cereal gifts from my youth and couldn't bring myself to cut them up, so made this scene instead!

FLAME BALL CANDLE

Its the First of Advent and traditionally my folks would have lit a candle. The first of four.

Blue Peter encouraged us Sixties kids to make Advent candle wreaths too. I recall coat hangers and moss and stern warnings of parental guidance when it came to the candle lighting.

Nowadays I still light candles in memory of my parents and those wonderful Christmasess they created for me and my sibs in the Sixties and early Seventies.

For the blog I've chosen a different kind of candle today, the flame ball.

These strange flames are created on the International Space Station and I thought it looked quite beautiful for a Moonbase.

EAST GERMAN NOVA

This caught my eye. I thought it was a big NOVA like the SpaceX miniature I has a kid.

This is an East German Kosmos rocket and transporter from the DDR.

Anyone got one?

Star Trek's Bill Shatner hams it up as a DJ greatly in need of the Christmas spirit, which is supplied by lots of egg nog!

Not for little kids, its a Christmas Horror Story and Krampus is coming to Bailey Downs!

BATTLE BEASTS ANYONE?

Reader Ranalcus kindly sent me this cute Japanese Rhino beast in a box of Japanese goodies this summer.

Small plastic dice can be inserted into its chest.

 Bill has blogged about some of Ranalcus's other donated model treasures, which Bill kindly built up, earlier in the Autumn.

Does anyone know the history of the Battle Beasts as toys?

Are they related to Transformers?
