Terranova's Wooden Trains and Boats

Hello Woodsy,

Further to working with wood for toys:

The warships I found in a junk store on Long Island. Carved of wood with metal bits added are interesting in that they are British outline and a couple have Union flags. 

The trains came from the UK years ago. They appear to be the work of one person. As shown with a OO Tri-ang plastic coach they are 1/76 scale wood and card construction and are definite locomotives mostly of Victorian/Edwardian era.

Spacex Desktop Challenge

After I saw Woodsys excellent LT10 knock off, I had the temerity to suggest it might be improved by adding more wheels. Woodsy, righteously indignant at my interference, slapped me into place again by throwing down tha gauntlet of challenge!

Whip up a Spacex model using only items on my desk at work! Ouch, that stings.

So I rose to the challenge and knocked up a quick Needle Probe! Not nearly as good as his masterful creation, but not bad for twenty minutes work!

With Triangular Chocolate and Triangular Trees: Project Toblerone

Continuing my theme of home-made toys here's one DIY packaging idea that nearly worked!

For years I have fantasized about creating a Project SWORD Task Force 1 double vehicle gift set.

Its triangular box was the inspiration. How I hear you cry?

Why, Toblerone of course! Two Task Forces in one box!

Well, yesterday I was presented with the opportunity to buy a large Toblerone and I grabbed it with both hands. Its my favourite Swiss choccy and even better when its the big version!

Alas, despite my chocolate-covered grin, the boxperiment failed.

I couldn't get my Task Force 1 to fit! Too big!

Another quarter inch on the box and it would have!

Ah well, trial and error and chocolate got us this far.

HEX BUGS IN NANO SPACE

Hi Woodsy, 

Not sure if you've covered this on your site, these hexbugs have been around for a while but the whole space thing literally adds another dimension! 

The idea that these little insect dudes operate various functions on the base quite randomly means hours of fun, checkout the advert!! 

Ziplines, moon buggy's and shuttle's too!

A Home-Made SpacEX LT-10 - Sort of!

Its still the Easter hols for me and its been an occasional tradition of mine to make a home-made Spacex model.

Three years ago I spent a whole week constructing a Photonic Propulsion Space Station from bits and bobs in the home and toy-box.

Inspiration came from the gorgeous and shiny LT-10, a toy I don't have either.

So, raiding my junk pile I set to work earlier this evening before tea.

An hour later this is the result!

I didn't go for a replica as you can see! Just an impression this time round.

Its the Elevated LT-11.

A bit of fun really!

LANARD RAMPAGE TOYS

Hi Woodsy.

Here are the toys for Rampage made by Lanard and sold exclusively by Walmart.

The Playsets seem to show the creatures in varying sizes from normal size animals to mega size beasties.

Of course, Lanard always includes a generous amount of accessories such as vehicles and weapons.

The super cool Stretch figures are based on the original video game characters and are equipped with sound effects that activate when you bump them.
