Summoned by the pale force I also felt compelled like Scoop, Bill and Ed's Wife to shoot the Autumn moon.

This was Friday's bright orb over West Yorkshire.

Not possessing any equipment or skill the results are predictably lukewarm compared to my fellow bloggers but I thought I'd post them anyway in honour of moon gazers everywhere.

The top three misty moons are with a simple digital camera. The larger bottom one is the same camera pushed up against a binocular lens,

I See the Moon, the Moon Sees Me

Well I missed the actual full of the Harvest moon, but tonight I was more prepared and the heavens delivered. I managed to catch Luna creeping up behind Winter Hill and got outside and set up in time to meet her as she appeared on the low horizon. Using a digital camera and a vintage analogue 200mm lens was problematic, as ever movement was magnified and shook the camera. I took about 15 shots in RAW format, so I could process them later, but I picked out these two just to capture the moment. Patience is a virtue!

MYSTERY SPACE CARS

From time to time I see these Japanese Glico mini space vehicles on auction.

They are a mystery to me as I don't recognise any of the designs.

Are any of them from Gerry Anderson or other TV shows?

It was a beautiful Harvest Moon last night, something we won't see as bright until 2024, so I'm told.

Anyone else managed to take a snap of it?

MINT BOXED PROJECT SWORD SCRAMBLE BUG BEING OPENED

I stumbled across this on You Tube.

Its a box opening of a mint Project SWORD Scramble Bug in Japan.

Wearing white gloves, the care the chap takes its almost reverential. The fact that he does it all in silence is just fabulous.

Note the various pieces of inner card packaging and tissue paper, which is how a factory fresh example would look I guess. Anyone else got these?

Not sure if the booklet baggy is original and of course this example is missing its badge.
