WHO LOVES YA BABY!

Another board game falling foul of our Spring clean is this old Kojak Detective Game offering by Arrow. I loved the lolly-munching detective's show back in the Seventies and snapped this game up when I found it at a boot sale about 20 years ago. I enjoyed owning it but Kojak needs to retire. He's had enough of Stavros!

BYE TO THE BAT!

About 25 years ago my Missus bought me an old Batman game at a jumble sale. It cost a few pence I think but was a superb 1977 collectable. I've loved owning it ever since.

But a spring clean is sweeping over Moonbase and many things simply have to go. Freecycle a plenty and some stuff to auction. So its goodbye to the bat as it leaves for belfries new. Its been emotional.

TAKEN FOR A RIDE

Remember the days when kiddies fairground roundabouts had imaginative Gerry & Sylvia Anderson creations. In Southport we had the Pleasure Land fairground, which had a Supercar and a Stingray. They seemed to be there for years, I wish I'd taken a photo. I spent enough time sat in them. Here's a couple of photos, taken by an unknown photographer of a couple of UFO Interceptors. I wonder what happened to them?

WILL OSBORNE'S FABULOUS JAMES BOND COLLECTION

Hi Woodsy. It was nice to see some James Bond stuff posted on the blog so I decided to take some pictures of my few bits. 

The third picture is the gold plated corgi DB5, in its gold brick box, signed by Shirley Eaton and Honor Blackman. 

The fifth picture is of my son James when he met Honor Blackman and Ursula Andress. He was only about seven at the time and I don’t think he appreciated it! All the best.

I WANT YOU TO RACE MR BOND!

With all the posts we've been doing lately on the vintage James Bond Scalextrix sets, I thought I'd invest in a slightly more modern second -hand one. I found a reasonably priced one on eBay which arrived today, and first chance I got I set it up. It comes with extra track, and a couple of Bond slot cars; a 'Goldfinger' Aston Martin DB5, and a 'Casino Royale' Aston Martin DBS. Both the cars have suffered minor knocks but certainly not deal breakers, and the whole thing works fine. I'm thinkinng now I may well invest in a few more Bond slot cars in the future.
