BIRTHDAY TELSALDA CONNECTION 1: BATCYCLES

I remembered seeing this gorgeous batcycle on Ed Kelly's Batman toys list.

Its number 72 on Ed's rarest 100 toys.

I had thought it was Tudor Rose but it turns out its an Italian make, Il Giocattolo, made in Hong Kong.

Anyway, I've found this similar non-Bats version of the bike online!

I wonder if its easier to find this one?

Made in Hong Kong, this old Hakes listing suggests its by Telsalda but the E logo on the box front suggests otherwise, although I don't recognise the E. Do you?

Is it possible that they are more or less the same two motorcycles?

LEWIS'S LUNA LEN: A BIRTHDAY CENTURY 21 SPECIAL

Hi Woodsy,

among my many irons in the fire in my retirement, I decided to clean out my garage for studio space.

Back in the 60's when I was a kid, my Mum had a friend called Coral Oldfield who amongst other things, collected toy robots.

Later in the 80's she decided to de-clutter and gifted me the lot, an enormously generous thing to do given the postage costs from the UK to Australia.

It turns out the toys still had their original packaging, often in pretty good shape.

I put them away safely and recently decided to take another look at them.

There are some classic tin toys, along with more "plasticky" ones.

One of these was Luna Len - a vague Billy Blastoff figure.

As I my eyes slid over the box, I did a double take - it was a C21 Toy!

Here are some pics I just took, 50 years on from when he was bought!
