Another favourite toy from my childhood is the Jeep inspired Rocket Launcher Mk 2 made by Haglon.
I know the Haglon Rocket Launcher MK2 has been seen on the blog several times before, along with it’s larger brothers made by Codeg ,but I figure you can’t have too many pictures of this tidy little friction drive.
While it’s implied that it’s smaller Spacex cousin, The Cricket P-1 is based on the Moon, I always imagined that the Mk 2 was an Earth bound vehicle with futuristic aspects.
Being a military vehicle , and prompted by Wote’s earlier post on small plastic figures I thought I’d add some infantry to the mix.

Interesting that you refer to it as a 'Haglon', ive never noticed a trademark on it before.
I love this little beauty, the very first instance of Spacex plagiarism I ever came across, way back in about 1971. A seaside toy which I ran into in Dawlish Warren in Devon. Its since been converted into a Cricket P-1 clone by Kevin too!

Although there's just 'made in Honk Kong and the number 474 on the toy it does have 'Haglon' and that same number on the box. You can also see a little ornate logo in the corner of the box illustration which says 'Hagemeyer'.
Ive got a boxed one and all it has on the corner is 'F1'. Not TM on the toy either
Very nice, although at least some of those "Americans" are British paratroops -one armed with a bren gun!
Great shots Scoop! Except for the dome, the angular lines aren't too different from some of the hardware I see here at Nellis, both NATO and Warsaw pact.

Bill, obviously the F1 on your box stands for 'fake one'!! ; D seriously, I've put a picture of both the end flap and the logo for any comparisons.
Finally, Andy - don't you just hate it when you get your plastic soldiers mixed up. There's actually several different types and sizes of plastic soldier in the photo to give a forced perpective. The one right at the back might be Japanese for all I know, I used the word American because of the generic U.S. star on the bonnet of the Mk 2. Anyway, I've altered the text and thanks for pointing it out.

It's there, Bill, and I can see it's the same box art but it doesn't have Haglon on the side and instead of the logo it has that red and yellow 'F 1' you mentioned. A toy company buy out maybe, similar to the X-toys getting the C21 logo on their boxes after they were taken over!?
Unlike the Codeg versions I've no date on the box.
AH - im more thorough than i thought! Well yours would be the earlier one, the F1 is probably a Hong Kong cover up job to resell existing stock.
The 'Cricket' is possibley the most copied of all SPACEX designs. Its chicken and Egg though. Which came first? Codeg? Haglon? Triang?Hamiltons Invaders etc etc.
