It's interesting that Victory Industries were less rushed in moulding and assembling their models than Tri-ang. Results, practically no distortion of the plastic parts, whereas many Tri-ang models warped.
Interesting that Terran. I never had a Victory toy but the triple screw Yacht shown is is the epitome of design and elegance for me. I had a couple of gun boats in grey and white as a kid, a bit like the Vosper here, maybe by Merit or indeed Triang - Scalex.
I didn't but it does look fabulous Scott. I blogged an Eldon catalogue a coupla years back. https://projectswordtoys.blogspot.com/2020/03/eldon-toy-boats-spring-1967.html
Well, I'll tell you they were pretty amazing! 2 foot+ Long, light weight but very sturdy plastic, ran with motor with 2D Cell batteries. Very powerful, very fast!
We ran it out on a lake because ponds were too small for it. In the days before radio control, we had a fishing line attached to the forward gun mount to keep it from getting away!
I saw a Vosper and box for a reasonable price at an antique shop in Blighty during a previous visit. It struck a chord of nostalgia, but did i really need it? No. I assume it went to a good home!
