Robo Ball

I saw this a while back, all new to me. Like a robot armadillo, it looks intriguing. Somewhere a battery inserts. I guess the toy rolls and unrolls. Does anyone know? 

It's a Robogoron Gakken Robot Ball from Japan 1985.

Here's some You Tube footage, where it's called the caterpillar. I personally think it's more like a millipede.

I've seen that inner unit before I'm sure. They look like tin panels.

Its not often I see a stylised illustration of Robbie the Robot but this book cover caught my eye. It looks a fairly awkward stance for the big guy but I like this action scene. Looks like it was signed Taj from 1970.

On first glance I thought this was a Micronauts toy.

Its an Insect Robot, the Spider.

I remember buying in and selling tone of these bad boys, the Commando robot from 1999.

With loads of programmable settings, my favourite was Room Guard. Once switch on, there was no getting past this fella unless you wanted a missile in your ankles!

Its on tracks and has a peculiar holed protuberance at its base.
