Having enjoyed the TV show as a kid, When I first saw the big IDEAL Beverly Hillbillies plastic car I've was in awe and still am.

It's just so darn good looking!

I've never seen one in the flesh, these images were online, but it looks a e with all the characters and paraphernalia. Talk about fantastic plastic!

Hot Wheels at the Hawkesbury Show

Here we are at a "Country" show, about an hour's drive from our house.

This display caught our eye and I thought of Paul A straight away!

A nice display of full sized HW vehicles!

Sadly the concept of "cost of living friendly" showbags hasn't dropped with Mattel yet. $40 showbags with about $15 worth of tat inside!

When I were a kid, Showbags were actually a bargain, offering discounted contents for the overall cost.

Ah well, great bargains for window shoppers everywhere!

Ed's McFarlane Toys Car - The Flintstones at The Drive-In

This was a fun piece I added to my Flintstones collection some years back. 

There's a 'button' on the base which was supposed to allow you to raise or lower the car, however, it wasn't designed well and it's easier to just raise the car manually.

 If I was starting a new collection I could easily see myself getting hold of big plastic cars, especially TV related ones and probably old Spanish makes, which are just fabulous.

Not sure if this is bigger but I liked this plastic Yellow Submarine I saw on auction, so I saved the pic.

Not the same as the die-cast we loved as kids, it still has that Fab Four pulling power.

The logo of the seal and umbrella looks familiar, yes, its Tai Hing Chun.

On first glance I thought the three chaps in this mystery action boat were from Trumpton but they look like a chef and two others on closer inspection. The three men.

The listing said 1960's but I reckon it's later.
