Searching for Thunderbirds The Anniversary Episodes

 A while back during lockdown I recall a company called Century 21 Films making three new supermarionation episodes of Thunderbirds. 

It struck me as a massive and heroic mission at the time, to recreate the greatest kids TV show of all time.

Having just remembered six years on and wondering if they ever finished, I've been in search of the episodes, hoping they're available to the public via streaming, so I'm going to look.

In the meantime here's what the company says about them on their own website.

FILMED IN SUPERMARIONATION WEEKEND

To celebrate the release of the new FILMED IN SUPERMARIONATION documentary at cinemas this weekend here's the YOU TUBE trailer [top], teaser [middle] and the HD restored THUNDERBIRDS title sequence [bottom ] by producers Network.

Having checked the local cinema listings I can only see one showing in Yorkshire, at the Showroom Workstation in Sheffield at 4pm today. Alas, I can't make it but you might!

Nationally it is showing in the Picture House cinema chain as well where they are making a weekend of it by also showing the THIS IS SUPERMARIONATION compilation of Gerry Anderson's TV shows on Sunday.

Both of these will be available by Network in a limited edition Blu Ray box set, along with the new issue of TV21 complete with Project SWORD story and illustration, which we've talked about last month on the blog. Release date 20th October!
