An anonymous reader solved this one. It's the Kidco Super Star Cruiser.

Quelle International also released this toy in Europe, called simply Raumschiff or Spaceship.

There's also a Japanese Yonezawa version, which may well be the original and have it's roots in Anime? I don't know.

Thirteen years ago I re-posted this 1969 image of a giant suspended Captain Lazer, which I borrowed from this great website:

Slim Pickens today, our last trip to Thorpe Arch boot sale this year.

 A forty minute drive is too much for a dwindling outdoor sale reduced solely to traders with only the odd family braving the cold with a stall. We'll start going again next year. 

My only purchase was the 50p mystery man dated 2016. Any ideas folks?

Horror Mask Mystery Solved

 Just over a year ago I posted a mystery miniature horror mask.

Made of flimsy plastic, it had a strange holder at the back.

There was much speculation as to what it could be in the comments at the time.

As is often the case with these things the solution to the mystery has revealed itself when I was looking for something completely different this week!

Turns out it's a Creepy Funs like this! 

It's a sort of wall walker, the rear holder containing a sticky roll, like a small toilet roll! 

I couldn't find my exact one but here's a selection of Creepy Funs, which looks like they're from the 80's or 90's to me.

I sent you these pix some time ago, but I'm sending them again to see if Moonbasers can solve a mystery for me.

This is the Apollo 27, a retro Sci-Fi rocket model produced in 2009 by Pegasus Hobbies.

I swear I saw a post on Moonbase several years ago which featured an identical design, either from a comic strip or a toy from the 1950s or 1960s.

 I vaguely thought it was connected to the Dan Dare franchise, but that didn't pan out.

Does anybody recognize this design from an older toy or comic strip?

 I know it's a fairly generic design, but I swear I saw this particular design somewhere else before the 2009 model came out.
