IN SPACE NO ONE CAN HEAR YOUR BULL HORN!

Oh Yes they can! This Sears toy Space Bull Horn and Walkie Talkie looks right for the job!

Battery operated with twiddles, buttons and a scope, I would have loved it as a young astronaut hailing my mates drinking Tizer on the space station.

I assume a bull horn is a loud noise maker.

You could scare your big brothers with the horn and then buzz your Mum on the Walkie Talkie and ask what's for tea!

It does look good, I love all the decals of dials and gauges. Very Matt Mason!

TRIGAN TRY AGAIN

This is a strange one.

I saw these listed online as Trigan Empire Walkie Talkies.

They were manufactured by Otto Simon of the Netherlands, a company which is still trading. The box has a bar code.

The listing includes this Don Lawrence comic art as evidence that the box art is from the Trigan Empire.

Now I know precious little about the Trigan Empire but the walkie talkie box art doesn't seem related to it to me, although I could be way off the mark.

What do you think readers? Anyone speak Trigan?

Young World Goodwin walkie talkies from 1978

The box art of this auctioned Young World walkie talkie set caught my eye.

Its not often you see a Saturn V and its MLP on toy box art.

The walkie talkies look pretty damn cool as well. 'space age styling'! They could have come from the set of UFO!

I remember getting and playing with plastic telephones one Christmas in the Sixties. Don't think I had any walkie talkies.
