WILL'S BOATS

My Victory industries turbine yacht and Vosper, along with an unusual Triang catamaran.

Hope you like them.

  1. It's interesting that Victory Industries were less rushed in moulding and assembling their models than Tri-ang. Results, practically no distortion of the plastic parts, whereas many Tri-ang models warped.

    1. Interesting that Terran. I never had a Victory toy but the triple screw Yacht shown is is the epitome of design and elegance for me. I had a couple of gun boats in grey and white as a kid, a bit like the Vosper here, maybe by Merit or indeed Triang - Scalex.

Did any of you guys ever have the Eldon Coast Guard Cutter?

Well, I'll tell you they were pretty amazing!
2 foot+ Long, light weight but very sturdy plastic, ran with motor with 2D Cell batteries.
      Very powerful, very fast!

We ran it out on a lake because ponds were too small for it.
In the days before radio control, we had a fishing line attached to the forward gun mount to keep it from getting away!

  3. I saw a Vosper and box for a reasonable price at an antique shop in Blighty during a previous visit. It struck a chord of nostalgia,
but did i really need it? No.
I assume it went to a good home!
