This is my fourth folk horror short film.
Its entitled Powers.
Its entitled Powers.
Owing to popular demand it stars Blue the family mutt again.
He's a natural!
Filmed on my phone on our local wintry hill this short is all live action, has very little editing and no stills.
Slightly longer than my others too I hope that you still enjoy it!
Warning: the final scene is loud!
Anticipation runs high all through the film for something to happen, and when it does, it is all worth it! Glad there was an ambulance already in the way! Blue's got that natural presence, almost antonioniesque languor of coolest canines.
ReplyDeleteHa ha, yes Blue isn't phased at all by the phantoms on the hill or his new found fame! When I'm shaking with a staged fear learnt in the Moonbase school of method acting Blue just stars at me like I'm gormless! ha ha
DeleteAh, the leading hound of the horror genre is back... you listened and gave the crowd what they demanded. Always the mark of a good director, Woodsy. There's something decidedly Twin Peaks about your style of short film :)
ReplyDeleteThanks Tone. Yes, Blue is what his fans wanted so he's back! He's had bone calls from Hammer and Rob Zombie but he's cocked his leg up at them all and says he's sticking round! D'ya know I don't really remember Twin Peaks apart from Kyle McClachan's 'That's a damn fine cup of coffee!'. Oddly enough I found a stack of memorabilia one day at a car boot in the Nineties, videos, a Board Game, magazines. I had them all out on my old toy stall back then!
