It's been fun revisiting the Seaview and Voyage to the Bottom of the Sea, but I think it's now time to move on.
Now, what to replace it with?
I've got the Southport Airshow coming up tomorrow, so when it comes to Airshows, Thunderbirds springs to my mind.
I've got a couple of examples of the kit, but for this I chose the earlier orientation of the wheeled landing legs for this version , as I prefer it's look, and model doesn't need balancing weights.
I'll post some photos of the ski landing gear version later.
Nice stuff Scoop.
ReplyDeleteYou say it's a kit, how much putting together and painting is needed ?
I thought Aoshima products were more toy than kit (or have I got that wrong ?).
This is all an plastic kit, Mish, there's no toy-like gimmicks on it. It's fairly accurate round down to the overlong hull lettering. The options are the wings can move in and out ,and you have the choice of either type of landing gear which must be fixed. It's described as 1:144 scale and will go with the large TB 2 AIP kit that's due to be released.
DeleteThanks Scoop.
ReplyDeleteI must have got confused. I thought Aoshima made vinyl plastic replicas, sort of Dinky toy sized.
You may be confusing Aoshima with Konami , who do the small ready made plastic models, Mish.
DeleteThat's the one.
ReplyDeleteMy bad !
