Last week the spring sun was shining through the trees at the end of my garden, and I thought it created a rather nice lighting effect, especially when I added a little mist from my smoke machine.
So I took the opportunity to take a few photos of my 22" MPC Rescue Eagle kit looking like it's coming in to land, amongst the leaves and bushes of some overgrown alien planet!
Superb photos Scoop, they could have come straight out of Brian Johnson's special effects shots for Space 1999!
ReplyDeleteCheers Bill. I put these particular snaps moreorless as I took them on Facebook last week, and they seemed to be reasonably well received.
DeleteOn some of the more dedicated Space:1999 Facebook pages on which Brian is a member, I was grateful a while back when he made a couple of complimentary comments about my photos.
Lovely shots Scoop. The beams of sunlight look particularly fab. Yep, Century 21 will be calling!
ReplyDeleteThanks Woodsy. As it was such a sunny day I just didn't want to waste the opportunity of taking a few snaps. I toyed with the idea of using one of my larger Thunderbird 2 models, but the Eagle finally won out.
DeleteThat's exceptional use of natural light, scenery and camera angle. Fantastic scenes, Scoop. You certainly have the eye!
ReplyDeleteThanks Tony. Plenty of light, as you'll probably know is essential when taking a decent photo, and a dynamic natural light effect is always a bonus. :)
DeleteLovely work, especially with the smoke machine. I've had an Aldi purchased one sitting unopened in my garage for at least a decade. Hopefully soon I can get to try it out!
ReplyDeleteCheers Lewis. The smoke machine used carefully creates some lovely effects in photos, plus you can have some fun experimenting with it. I look forward to seeing what a special effects expert like you comes up with.:)
DeleteSpectacular Scoop, especially the last one.
ReplyDeleteNow if only there were some dinosaurs on that planet ...
Thanks Mish. The Dinosaur suggestion certainly gives me some food for thought.:D
DeleteThose shots are gorgeous Scoop! I think Mish is on to something with the dinosaur suggestion :-)
ReplyDeleteCheers Ed. You might well be right about the Dinosuar vibe! :D
