I like this Atlantic Star Base with its dome and blister on the planet surface. They're fabulous looking panels for galactic play.
Its not a line I know really do you?

Wow, never seen it but isn't that just the epitome of 70's cool?
ReplyDeleteAtlantic was an Italian company, but this is not a line I know. According to the book Airfix's Little Soldiers, which has a chapter on Airfix's Competitors, Atlantic was a maker of 'outfits and cap guns'. Then, in 1971 launched its modern figure line, then Wild West, and Ancients. Mostly in HO scale (1/87th), and some in 1/32nd scale. The figures were in soft plastic, and the vehicle kits I saw were rather basic (I am being kind).
ReplyDeleteSorry, I have nothing on pre-painted space toys.
Atlantic Space series were a very limited line in the early 80’s. probably four 3” figures, maybe 3 vehicles and a couple of sets. very stylised and odd, in the vein of Barbarella and other wacky sci fi, but very rare and collectable. I bought a figure on ebay once, but it got mysteriously lost in the mail.. Bill
