Here is my collection so far of mySpace:1999 colouring books.
There was five published by World Distributors ( Manchester) in 1976 -76, and four published by American company Saalfield Publishing in 1975.
Although, I have all the World Distributors books, I’m missing a couple of the Saalfield books, the activity (Prof. Bergman on cover), and one of the colouring books (Eagle on cover).
Here are the five World Distributors (Manchester) books
These are great! I do like the 'fun' book illustrated with a picture of someone pointing a bazooka at you!
ReplyDeleteMy favourite is the press-out book which makes a simple 3D scene. The artwork isn't the best, but it still looks cool.
DeleteA fab collection Scoop! They look great and in ace condition too. I can see why you collect them. Project SWORD got two make cut out models books, which are similar. Where did you find your 1999 books?
ReplyDeleteI picked them up at various events or Ebay, Woodsy.
DeleteThe two 1967 -68 Century 21 Project Sword cut out books were certainly popular and came out at the same time as the Captain Scarlet cut out books.
Terrific! I really like the punch out book - fun stuff Scoop!
ReplyDeleteCheers Ed. As I say, it's a favourite of mine.
DeleteNice stuff Scoop.
ReplyDeleteBut why do some of the Eagles have no landing legs, and why does Professor Bergman, on the last cover, look like a Werewolf ?
Thanks Mish. The answer regarding the raised landing pads is that it was briefly intended that they were designed to do just that.
DeleteAs to why Professor Bergman looks like a Werewolf , I'd be just howling at the wandering Moon for an answer! ;D
