Woodsy and Fellow Moonbasers,
Further to Terra's excellent post on tin buses, here's the ones that ended up at Vegas Base.
My goal at first was to find buses that would either go well on an O-gauge toy train layout or, would look good when used with my toy soldiers, but they are such beauties that I did buy a couple that were way larger (like the HTC SceniCruiser which I sold off years ago).
I have been collecting toys since '91 and my collector's tendrils have found their way into many a nook and cranny 😁 I can literally send Woodsy many terabytes worth of photos taken over the years.

Wow! I don’t know which I like better, Space Bus (what a concept!) or all those Air Force buses! Of course, those Greyhound Scenicruisers are so iconic. Tin Buses Rule! SFZ
ReplyDeleteThank you! These are only my tin buses, I also have plastic and diecast LOL
DeleteNice to see the Ahmad Tea Double Decker as it's a London K Type Bus with open staircase. Usually tins show the more recent (1950's) Routemaster. Also it's a money box (Bank) which was the horror of lockdown, discovering I had all those money boxes. A sub set collection that just assembled itself. Now I'm wondering if there is a King Charles III post box bank?
ReplyDeleteThanx! The Ahmad tea box was bought in (of all places) the Commissary at Nellis AFB during the Christmas season some years back! I couldn't pass it up.
DeleteI love the USAF buses. Great fun.
ReplyDeleteThanx Paul! I thought I had an Army bus out in The Cave as well - gotta look for it now :-)
