You win some, you lose some. This morning I lost out on an old model. It was stood on a car boot stall. I was just about to ask 'Was soll es kosten?' when a little old fella beat me to it!
His 4 Euro handed over he walked away with his 1959 ITC Neanderthal and Skeleton built-up painted kit in two parts.
Have you been beaten to it readers?
Sorry to hear you missed out on that old ITC model. I have never even seen one.
ReplyDeleteYes, missed out plenty of times. Also, never put your prospective purchases down - someone will jump on them.
Better luck next time.
Yep Paul, never put stuff down or else the competition will pounce!
DeleteAh, “a bird in the hand…” syndrome. I get weepy when I think of all the gold I put down, thinking, “I’ll come back and get it later!” SFZ
DeleteI'm crying into my cold coffee reading this Zigg!
DeleteOooh! That sounded tasty! I have a 1/6 scale Neanderthal skeleton moulded in brown polythene and sold with a clear plastic capsule. Panited up, it sits nicely alongside my original 1960s Airfix Sapiens skeleton!
ReplyDeleteI adored my skeleton. The Airfix one Looey too. I used it as the central character in a monster puppet show I did behind a chair. The four legs of the chair were the stage corners and the underside of the seat the roof of my theatre! Mum and Dad endured like good parents should! I miss my skeleton.
