Cheers Lewis! Thanks for the tip about getting a metallic finish. I'm not skilled or patient enough to do anything complex, but I did find a tin of Humbrol metallic red paint for my second LAMA.
Your found-object toy recreations are truly superb. I was browsing Paul Vs Space-X site recently, and discovered that you have been doing his for years!
Thanks Zigg. Thanks for checking out my old stuff too. I'm in notable company on Paul V's fan creations chapter: Frank May, our own Kev D, Scoop and Wote. All inspiring modellers. I'm just a bodger really. But as long as its fun I'll keep bodging now and then! Its nothing though compared to the skills you have to biuld and paint those old Japanese sci-fi models Zigg! I couldn't do that!
'King A! Fantastic! the new Lego cockpit is perfect!
ReplyDeleteTa Bill. You were right!
DeleteVery, very clever. Well done!
ReplyDeleteTa Kevin. The hungry hippo body was the key!
DeleteLooks really good, Woodsy.
ReplyDeleteCheers Scoop. It was fun to do as well.
DeleteLooks good, but also, frankly, a bit rude.
ReplyDeleteMish.
Ta Mish. I suppose it is a bit suggestive! Always reminds me of the id monster in forbidden planet for some reason.
DeleteIts the big feet Mish! Very creature of the Id. Woodsy, you need to mock up a 'Sinister Barrier' book cover with it now
ReplyDeleteha ha. Oddly enough I really like the colours that Ed Valigursky used to paint his LAMA on the book cover. Better than Tri-ang's in my mind.
DeleteDarn good model and darn good pics, Woodsy :)
ReplyDeleteWell done that man !
Ta Tone. It was great fun to make and photograph - in the attic!
DeleteAnother marvellous piece of work, Woodsy. Very convincing and again most ingenious!
ReplyDeleteBest -- Paul
Thanks so much Paul. The Hungry Hippo LAMA!
