Given my recent disparaging comments about Terrahawks , I thought it would be good to see the more positive side of the show, with the vehicles themselves. The toys are really good, but the actual designs of the vehicles are excellent. At the time of airing, I was keen to get my hands on as much Terrahawks material as possible, despite my reservations about the series. One of the less well advertised items was this set of blueprints, illustrated by Philip Rae and designed by Stephen Begg.
For the princely sum of £4.95, I got six A2 sheets with meticulously detailed schematics, a sheet with pre-production sketches and a pvc wallet to hold everything. Here they are in all their monochrome glory!

Late Addition - The Tomahawk was designed for the Terrahawks Audio Series and I had the pleasure of seeing an actual physical model of it a few years ago at the Birmingham Games Expo. Its a shame it never made it into the series.

To your knowledge, where there ever any Terrahawks vehicles produced as plastic model kits? Those, I would like to see! SFZ
ReplyDeleteNo model kits were made, just the toys.
DeleteNothing to do with THawks SF but there were some neat Starcruiser kits, which were sort of Andersonesque. I had the die casts, which were very cool.
ReplyDeleteThat Tomahawk reminds of the Lightyear jet Bill.
