    ReplyDelete
  8. Ok with this one I have to veer off-SWORD because of the domestic demand heard from the top shelf: No. 3 (but always No. 1 to Herself) is Ms. Bild-Lilli from Germany. Meet her and her friends here http://tinyurl.com/9na8uvm

    ReplyDelete
  12. Q1 - Orbitron -the man from Uranus - the only one I had from new in the 60's - the rubber had the strangest perfume smell that matched the pink colour of the figure - lasted a good 20 years before it faded ! All the best John Swan

    ReplyDelete
  13. Q7 Correctomundo Wote! You da Space Jockey!

    ReplyDelete
  14. Q1 and yes John , Orbitron, he of the swollen brain and rubber pincers. Well done! One of my fave toys of all time!

    ReplyDelete
  15. Right guys, there are now just questions 4, 5, 6, 8, 10 and four more vehicles for Q11 left to do. You can do it!

    ReplyDelete
  16. As to question 4: the still much-missed in my household Captain Lazer made an unheralded return in Mattel's Battlestar Galactica toy line, disguised as both the "Colonial Warrior" (not an actual character, just a generic human figure resembling Commander Straker or Race Bannon) AND the Cylon centurion.

    ReplyDelete
  17. Richard, your right on the money! Nice one.

Just a few more to get now folks!

    ReplyDelete
  18. The only thing I can think of for Q8 is that Godzilla has a tail and that he's not human/humanoid in form

    ReplyDelete
  19. Q5...not sure of the official term, but some of the vinyl roto-cast MEGO heads turn a ghastly grey losing the flesh tone...like a zombie.

    ReplyDelete
  20. oops! Q5 was MOTU, sorry meant to try Q6. Um for MOTU is it a complete 'Eternia' playset?

    ReplyDelete
  21. I agree with Iceberg on Q8; is it also that Godzilla is the non-"Universal Studios" licensed property among the models?

    ReplyDelete
  22. Correction about my comment on Q2, the TF1 and TF3 meant were only in *metallic* (green and gold, respectively) colour... I seem to share your wishful thinking Woodsy :)

    ReplyDelete
  23. Can I jump in on Q8 and suggest that the prisoner of castle mare wasn't based on a film character.

    ReplyDelete
  24. Whoah! a flood of answers!

    Q5 Eternia Playset. Correct!
    Q6 Mego greying. Correct!
Q8 Prisoner of castle Mare, not a film character. Correct [I'll have to look into the Non Universal fact. Didn't know that guys!]

    Well done Mike and CS.

Right, just go for it now guys. A free for all to get the rest! Q11 beckons!

And Arto, see what you meant about the metalliced Task Forces. Plastic with metallic paint job. Wish I had those too!

    ReplyDelete
  25. Ok Q11 I'll take out the Cape Kennedy Set (launch pad function).

    Arto

    ReplyDelete
  26. Q11 - The Imai model kit of Thunderbird 7 which resmbles the front end of the SWORD Beetle craft from the annual (I left the remote off mine as I thought if looked better as a static display model than a toy). All the best - John Swan

    ReplyDelete
  27. Arto and John, slam dunk, you got 'em right for Q11. Just two more for Q11 and of course Q10, which is easy peasy!

    ReplyDelete
  28. Q10 - Magic Robot pointed out the right answer to a presented question.

Q11 - Nuclear Ferry and Zero-X MEV as a separate vehicle.

    ReplyDelete

Q11 Nuke Ferry - yessiree Arto! and the detachable MEV, I hadn't thought of that Arto! There is still one more remote controlled toy in the wider SWORD world of clones and knockoffs. There, I've given you a clue!

    ReplyDelete
  30. Q11:I'll go for one of the Space Glider knock offs, I'm pretty sure there was a remote control version. Not sure of the make though.

    ReplyDelete
  31. You've done it Mike. that's it! Anyone know the make for a bonus point?

    ReplyDelete
  32. Beats me Woodsy. Can only think of the 2001 Space Glider, but that one is radio controlled.

    ReplyDelete
  33. yep, 2001 it ios Arto. Well done! [I forgot it was radio controlled and not remote controlled!]

    That's it! Quiz solved.
