Old Jamaica, Grand Seville, and Caramac for me. Maybe Rumba too (always had an exotic palate), but my fave isn't there, which was Cadbury's Special Recipe. Delicious.
Excellent choices Mish, I too liked the oft-dismissed Caramac! Is it actually chocolate I hear the non- believers cry! Special Recipe, hmmm, what was in that?
No, although I may still have those for completeness' sake. Those were basically re-statements of aired episodes. I much preferred the original novels.
Interesting that. I was the other way around. In the pre-video era, novelisations of episodes were precious to me. Blish was brilliant at capturing the essence of an episode in remarkably few words. I loved those books and still have a set.

DeleteI generally like the chocolate bars with caramel. No Dr Who novels, but I still have a box of Star Trek novels!
ReplyDeleteMe too Baron. Are your Trek novels by James Blish?
DeleteNo, although I may still have those for completeness' sake. Those were basically re-statements of aired episodes. I much preferred the original novels.

DeleteWow, I have not seen Grande Saville in decades. I remember the lady with the fan.
ReplyDeleteYes, read the Target Doctor Who paperbacks.
What did Grand Seville taste of Paul? I forget?
DeleteI am not actually sure after all these years. Was it the Grapefruit one, or am I getting confused with another chocolate block ?
DeleteGrapefruit chocolate? Wow Paul. What was that?
DeleteGrand Seville was orange chocolate flavour, maybe with pieces of peel in it, and Special Recipe was rum and raisin, maybe with raisin pieces.
ReplyDeletethey sound delicious Mish. I remember Grand S. Special Recipe is ringing bells now too!
DeleteAh, Tiffin!
ReplyDeleteSadly Payne's Toff-etts and Fry's Five Boys Chocolate are not in the picture!
Aw, I loved Tiffin too Looey! Toffets were ace. Seen Five Boys nut not had it.
