Hello Moonbasers, my pal Arnum is always mooching around Auction Halls and he's picked up some bargains over the years..
A case in point is this vintage James Bond board game. It's actually a very clever game, as it requires deductive reasoning as well as the element of chance.
As an agent, you have to collect clues that can reveal where the stolen atomic bombs are hidden.
The only thing missing from the game is booze and dames -so I set about fixing that!
I've added girl and drugged Martini hazard spaces and modified the rules accordingly.
I also reprinted the original Secret 007 Notebook page, to more closely resemble the paperwork seen in the film!
" Oh, the things I do for England! "

That is a great looking game, with some nice extra touches.
ReplyDeleteThunderball was the first James Bond movie I ever saw. It was a re-issue, and the year was 1982 - Vulcan bombers had just been in action over the Falkland Islands, so it was topical in that regard.
A classic Bond outing and the game has all the gorgeous artwork used to promote the film. Sea Scooters, frogmen, nuclear devices, who needs dames and booze? Bill
ReplyDeleteYep, what a film and the underwater battle has never been equalled.
DeleteYou have way too much spare time Looey !
ReplyDeleteMe too! I love all the time retirement brings! So much better than working!

ReplyDeleteDo you know, I think Thunderball is a Bond film I have never seen? SFZ
