Hi,
Atlantis is an American kit company that specialises in re-issuing vintage kits (mainly from the 1950s and 1960s), by the likes of Aurora, Monogram, Revell, Lindberg, and Pyro. Some of these kits have not been seen in decades, so these re-issues give us the chance to build many classic kits that we might have missed out on before.
There are aircraft, ships, cars, military vehicles, full-size replica guns, and figures. There are also spacecraft, and several missile kits.
There is a useful table showing what the prefix letters to Atlantis kits mean. These indicate the original maker of the kit – A – Aurora; D – Dencomm; H – Revell Hobby kit; L – Lindberg; M – Monogram; P – Pyro; R – Renwal; no letter – Atlantis original model.
The 2026 releases start out with several car kits, then we get to the interesting items.
Lindberg once did a line of small scale harbour craft: a couple of tugs, a fire boat, and a fishing boat. These are ideally sized for N Gauge model railways.
Several ex-Revell aircraft – among them the Lockheed WV-2 Warning Star radar plane and Lockheed AH-56 Cheyenne attack helicopter, which were announced last year.
The ex-Aurora 1/8th scale Gold Knight of Nice on horseback – the horse is the classic Black Fury kit.
Ex-Revell Helios Nuclear Powered Lunar Landing Craft, from 1959.
Life-size Human Skull, listed as an ex-Lindberg kit.
A couple of ex-Revell Ed 'Big Daddy' Roth kits; and several ex-Monogram Tom Daniel custom cars.
The last page is very interesting indeed – under the Dencomm Products name is a whole page of ex-Aurora kits. Firstly, eight kits from the famous – or infamous – Monster Scenes series, which are listed as 55th Anniversary Limited Editions.
Dr. Deadly; Frankenstein; Gruesome Goodies; Pain Parlor; The Victim; The Pendulum; Hanging Cage; and Vampirella.
Then the three human figures from the Aurora Prehistoric Scenes series. Again these are described as 55th Anniversary Limited Editions.
Neanderthal Man; Cro-Magnon Man; and Cro-Magnon Woman. These have not been seen since the 1970s.
