I just love the design of this Takara motorbike bot. The whole thing is one! Reminds me of the old Tetsuo films, man melded with machine! There's a Capsela feel to it too. I love how the helmet is a fairing! Looks like a Sea Devil!
Is it Microman? Micronauts?
Like it?

Its Cyborg, which in the US was part of the Micronauts possibly, I know it's connected in some way, I had both Cyborg and Muton figures as a kid, very collectible nowadays
ReplyDeleteReally, the Denis Fisher range MJ?
DeleteAbsolutely, we got bugger all in the range here in the uk
DeleteI never saw any but I mo ed around a lot.
DeleteMy guess is Henshin Cyborg?
ReplyDeleteThanks Brian.
DeleteIts Henshin Cyborg - possibly the junior figure. Henshin were a massive range in Japan, a series of humanoid figures of Action Man size and a smaller 'junior' figure, which was exported to UK by Denys Fisher to become the Cyborg figure. DF made the clear Cyborg, purple Muton and awesome black Android figure, based on original Henshin figures. Muton was the uk version of King Walder and had three suits the figure could be dressed in. Cyborg had chromed accessories that fit on the arms and legs and the rare Android had a full set of alternat arms, legs and heads. The Henshin Cyborg gave rise to the Microman line and ultimately to Mego Micronauts too. Bill
ReplyDeleteSounds like you've nailed it Bill. I wonder if Cyborgs were a money spinner for Denis Fisher?
