Woodsy,
Here is my most recent model kit build, Boeing’s Bomarc IM-99 surface-to-air guided missile, first tested in 1952, put into production in 1957, and made obsolete shortly thereafter by the new threat of high-speed ICBM missiles.
Originally a 1958 Revell kit, this is the 2023 Atlantis Models reissue.
The launch platform was the fun part!
Hope you like it.

A nice looking build with presumably civilian technicians from the missiles testing phase,
ReplyDeleteThat's some great work! I can see rivets, and the lettering on the tail fin is awesome.
ReplyDeleteLovely job Rob.
ReplyDeleteImpeccable paintwork.
Astounding modelling Rob! Looks superb! Is the black curved panel at the rear the blast deflector?
ReplyDeleteThat is a beautiful model. The paintwork is far beyond anything I could manage - yellow, white, and black - and all those straight lines.
ReplyDeleteFantastic work again, Rob. You must have a steady hand and a ton of patience. I used to love reading all my dads old kit catalogues and seeing all the Revell rocket and missile kits. By the time I was old enough to buy kits, all Airfix did were a couple of Apollo based models, the LEM, Vosok, Bloodhound and SAM missile on a trailer. Very disappointing! Bill
