The Missus and me went to the Yorkshire Auction House viewing day. It was fun and not something we do often.
There were hundreds of lots. Here are a few of the boxes of mixed toy lots we saw.
This toy gun is a mystery.
a mystery plastic dragon
Die-cast and dolls
Man in Space coins!
Airfix footballers and Striker!
We then moseyed through ancient York and visited a few Charities before eating a delicious Doner.
Apollo 13 Laserdisc!
Lots of games including Ker-Plunk! Remember that?
Microdot spy game and a toy hoover!
Mouse Trap! What a game that was!
See anything you like readers?
Looks like a good day out. I would be most interested in the die-casts.
ReplyDeleteI had that Waddington's Captain Scarlet puzzle, although mine was made in New Zealand, as were so many toys and other items, at the time.
So who released the puzzle in NZ Paul?
DeleteI'll take that Captain Scarlet SPC puzzle, please! SFZ
ReplyDeleteThe Captain Scarlet puzzles were released in NZ by Holdsons, the biggest name in the field in NZ. I will send photos.
ReplyDeleteMy memory of my first visit to York was afternoon tea at 'The Terry's of York Tearoom' which at the time reminded me of childhood afternoon teas at Lyon's Corner Houses in London.
ReplyDeleteThe Tearoom was long gone by my second visit to York as indeed is the chocolate brand Terry's.
