I was bored and going through old files and came across this photo taken some years back: Modern BMC Sherman Tank vs. a Classic Toy Soldiers (CTS) Tiger II with Porsche Designed Turret
My brother was killed in a Sherman tank in Rittershofen, France and I've wondered my whole life how that played out. The battle itself - between the twin towns of Rittershofen and Hatten - was intense and worthy of a movie unto its own right.
Thanx Woodsy! This little set-up was done on the fly - really quick and really simple. It was over before the German tank crew could say "Ach du Lieber!"
Thank you sir! I like doing them. Seeing as how I'm a lousy builder (except for model railroad scenery), this is the best way for me to enjoy the hobby.
At that range, a 75mm round from the Sherman should be able to go through the side armour of even a Tiger II.

DeleteGreat little diorama Ed. When I was a young GI I called them carpet wars! Happy days!
