I've seen this make a model book a few times over the years. I saved a few snaps.
The C3P0 type makes for a memorable cover. I like the robot's Vibrainium shield!
This template inside could be for the golden bot, although he's not shown in the contents! No fair!
It certainly allows you to make some fantastic creatures.
Poor Chewie though, he's in bother on the back cover.
I can't see a publishers' name.
Have you anything like this?
An interesting looking book. Plus other volumes on Racing Cars and Dinosaurs. I did have a similar book, perhaps early 1970s ? of four railway locomotives.
ReplyDeleteThe second photo actually shows the Orange Robot, which is listed on the contents page. This also says Copyright 1978, Watermill Press, Printed in U.S.A.
Interesting Paul. You gotta love the 1970's!
DeleteInteresting - Watermill Press (aka Troll Communications) was a big publisher of public domain paperbacks (Jules Verne, H.G. Wells, etc.) in large print, with nice illustrated covers. I used to own a bunch, a very cool publisher. SFZ
ReplyDeleteInteresting SF! The public domain angle is fascinating. I'm going to have to look out for those publications now. HG Wells! Wow!
