My home made Moonship is done. It's the one at the back. Century 21 Toys original at the front.
Reunited with my bits box I was able to finish the plane I bought in Germany.
Not perfect by a lunar mile but it'll do.
The home ship has sound effects too. It just needs a flag. But which?
That's very good. You could put the Project Apollo badge on it?
ReplyDeleteThanks very much Kev. Good idea that too.
DeleteExcellent Woodsy! Very cool rendition and worthy of front-of-shelf display!
ReplyDeleteMuch obliged Ed. It has gone in my cabinet for me to look at for a couple of days.
DeleteNice work, Woodsy! Not a complete duplicate, but slightly "off model" in the charming style of all 60's toys!
ReplyDeleteIf you invest in an airbrush, you could spray Tamiya Clear Red on your silver tail cone and it would be a complete match for the C21 original!
Thanks Looey. I've a couple of these Moonships and they all seem to have recycled or marbled plastic tail cones painted silver.
DeleteA worthy effort Woodsy.
ReplyDeleteYou've definitely caught the spirit of the original.
Thanks very much Mish.
DeleteWell done. That is a really first class model. I am sure only an expert could tell which is the original, and which is your modern build.
ReplyDeleteMuch appreciated Paul.
DeleteAce achievement, well done Woodsy!
ReplyDeleteThanks Arto!
DeleteGotta have a Union Jack like the original!
ReplyDeleteHmm. You might be right.
DeleteA lovely facsimile of an iconic original - I am continually impressed by your resourcefullness in cobbling together a glorious toy from bits and scraps! SFZ
ReplyDeleteVery much appreciated SF. A decent bits box is a real help.
DeletePut a Project SWORD insignia on it!
ReplyDeleteVery nicely done. How about a Moonrise Central logo as it's an original?
ReplyDeleteAuto check on a strange computer changed Moonbase Central!
DeleteI like Moonrise!
