Ooh! I'm impressed already! I have the Mego 4 inch figure, so I'm missing the chrome plated arms here. Still, there are now some great chrome paints like Green Stuff World available, so you can get an almost metallized finish just using a brush. And of course, the eye slot is just crying out for a red LED!
I'll bet no one has built a version with Reinhart's face peering out of that slot!
Ah,watch this space, Lewis, I'll be doing a review of the Diamond Select Maximillian shortly, which does indeed have an alternative head with Reinhardt's eyes looking out!
This is going to be great! Your skills with vehicles AND figures will come in handy here, and I just know you’ll give it that extra touch of modelmaking magic that we’ve come to appreciate with your legendary builds. SFZ
I had this kit back in the day and installed a light in the head. The finish was a bit of a nightmare and I ended up doing him a dark brown instead of the deep crimson for some reason! I remember the arms are a bit of a nightmare because of the flimsy joints. A lovely kit and one I would love to try again. Bill Had Cygnus as well - twice, which was one horrible kit! The Vincent one is good too!
Yeah, I know what you mean about the arms, Bill, as they are all posable. Max will, of course have an illuminated 'eye', it would be rude not to.; D Still on the look out for a complete Vincent kit with intact decals.

ReplyDeleteHa,ha! No pressure then, Zigg. Hopefully, Max won't let me down. ; D
DeleteIt'll no doubt be a great project Scoop. Will you paint old Maxi or leave him red?
ReplyDeleteMax will be getting a new paint job, Woodsy.

They were sold off cheaply in discount stores in the late eighties. Should have bought a few and sat on them..
DeleteAh,hindsight, if we knew then, eh!
