I was thrilled the other day 'cos I won something! I never win anything! The prize was a cool and exclusive KUNG FU LOOK-IN art calender provided by reader Shaqui [thanks Shaqui!]. Shaqui has created a brilliant LOOK IN EXTRA and UNFAMILIAR site. My own Kung Fu 'art' collection consists of three front and back covers, which I cut out at in the 70's from my weekly edition of the so-called Junior TV Times. I loved LOOK IN and KUNG FU was it's pinnacle for me. When I dug out the three clippings [pictured] I was really chuffed to still see the house number and street of the house I grew up in, 24 Powis [Road]. Happy Days indeed! One day I'll find the KUNG FU medallion featured on the middle cover - I know I've got it stashed away somewhere. Trouble is I've moved twenty times since I lived at Number 24 in the Seventies!
PS. Saw the late David Carradine in the flesh when he appeared at the NEC Memorabilia Show just after making Kill Bill 2. Anyone else seen or met him? I've got tons of vintage Kung Fu, Bruce Lee and Martial Arts clippings, articles, magazines, posters [like Kung Fu Monthly] and ephemera I amassed in the Seventies if anyone would like me to post some of it?
Has the calendar arrived yet, Paul?
