I love the Moon Vehicle in this old Kellogs Space Age set - very Spacex MOLAB. The rest of the set is really great too. The Rocket Transporter is particularly cool. Can't discover a date but I think it's a 1970's set. What a great model to find in your bowl of Sugar Smacks.

Gregg King's Cereal Stuff website, which I recommend you have a look at (great for Critters).
A good way to date cereal promotions is to look for advertisements in children's comics. In the UK, advertisements for the Space Age set first appear in July 1969. Could they have timed it any better!
ReplyDeleteGood one PT! That's another one for the timeline. The MOLAB concept goes back some time before that OI know but I really like the Kellogs set.Yeah, great timing. It must have been popular when the moon-landing happened!
ReplyDeletethe spacestation is based on an early Convair design too
