Now, I just don't recall Simon and Simon on TV but I would have loved those walkie talkies!
"Simon, it's Simon. Over!" Ha ha
Riptide is another show that passed me by. They needed Gordy handcuffs though.
And why stop there! Wild Bill Hickok (is that the right spelling?) gets Gordy cuffs too!
I guess Wild Bill is in the public domain as well as many other 'Western Heros' in this line.
Anyone know the TV shows? You got any handcuffs? Any Western Hero stuff?
Those shows were in contemporary settings. When you say "western hero," I'm thinking the 1800s and the American wild west; cowboys and ranchers and bank robbers, with Comanche raids and maybe General Custer. So Wild Bill (spelling is correct) fits right in. A great show that adds a bunch of fantastic anachronisms was The Wild Wild West (1965). I bet you'd really like it, considering the gadgets. Of course, you could just stick with ELO's version: "Ride the range all the day, till the first fading light, Be with my Western girl, 'round the fire, oh, so bright." ;-)
ReplyDeleteSimon and Simon (1981-88) was a series about two brothers who were Private Eyes. Rick and A.J.
ReplyDeleteRiptide (1984-86) was another Private Eye show - they had a big pink helicopter - the Sikorsky S-58 Turbine shown on the backing card.
Wild Bill Hickok was a famous name from the Old West, and might not have been tied to a specific TV series - the card does say Western Hero Series.
