While I watch my shirts go round and round at the local Laundromat, I'll sort some holiday snaps for you Moonbasers!
Star Wars World in Shibuya is basically an exhibition on the Ground floor of one of the big Department stores.
The full size costumes were very popular and in the Basement, was the pop-up Merchandise store!
Sadly most of the slick goods were as astronomical as their inspiration! The groovy T shirt was about £25 and the small backpacks £135!
But i did get some SW themed mini Japanese lanterns for prezzies!
May the Forsu be with you!
Looey
Japan
Japan just gets better and better Looey, it's a carnival of merch! How will you ever cope with normal life again?
ReplyDeleteStunning. What a great trip you had. Just a pity about the prices.
ReplyDeleteThere are more posts to come, Paul!
DeleteSadly I lost my wallet on the Joyful Train, so I'm relying on the charity of my fellow Men's Shed Train Group!
Luckily I managed to find all the Moonbase worthy stuff I was looking for, before this disaster.
I'm in the last days of the trip now and everything is Train orientated, so I won't be posting any of that stuff here.
Although i will say the Railway Museum at Omiya knocked my socks off! It's even better than the London Transport Museum at Clapham Junction.
Several Type Zero Shinkansen motors to actually walk through! And a Science section full of ephemera like models, signs and old equipment!
