Sorry to hear that the wonderful David Graham has sadly passed away at the age of 99.
David, well known to Thunderbirds fans as the voice of Parker, as well as providing his voice talents to many other Gerry & Sylvia Anderson productions voicing Dr Beaker, Prof Matthew Matic, Mitch the Monkey, Zoonie the Lazoon and many .others. He was also heard as one of the voices of the Daleks..
He will be sadly missed.
Our sincere condolences to his family and friends.
Sad to hear that, but 99 is an amazing innings!
ReplyDeleteHe was a big part of my Andersonian childhood!
Thank you David for all those years of your skilled voices. You didn't just voice Parker, you are Parker. You are missed.
ReplyDeleteI had the pleasure of working with David Graham on the TV series 'So Haunt Me', in which he played the character of Mr Bloom, in the 1990s.
ReplyDeleteHe was a consumate professional, jobbing actor and warm individual, who was a pleasure to be with.
At that time, he had found renewed fame, much to his surprise and amusement, as the voice of Parker in Thunderbirds, due to the re-release of the series on the BBC and VHS videos.
He and the star of that show, Miriam Karlin, who played a traditional 'Jewish mother' (ie 'forceful') type ghost, haunting a contemporary family, had great rapport together, relaxing on set.
I was truly privileged to have met him.
Very sad news indeed, the voice of a generation has gone.
