Is the Century 21 Zero X toy the largest toy Zero X? I don't own any biult-up Imai models so I don't know. Here's what I do know in the following pictures. Some include objects for scale, some don't. A group shot of them all would be so cool should anyone own the lot!
Large original model during the filming of Thunderbirds Are Go. Note size of men.
Century 21 Project SWORD Zero X toy. Note size of my hand.
Aoshima Zero X and MEV [left] compared to the larger Century 21 Zero X [right]
Bandai Zero X [left] compared to Imai motorised model [no idea how big either are without some object to scale them by]
One of the smallest Zero X toys, the Morinaga candy model compared to a 100 Yen coin.
Have you any Zero X comparison pictures? I'm partiularly interested in any group shots of biult up Imai Zero X models compared to the Aoshima, Bandai and Century 21 Zero X toys or at least Imai models with something like an adult hand in the shot too.

The C21 ZX is bigger. Of the various Imai models; nothing compares to the C21
ReplyDeleteThe Imai kit you show is abot 6 inches long. I thought they also made a much more accurate and much bigger one but I don't know how big.
ReplyDeleteI have a completed small Zero X from Imai, and this page http://www.flickr.com/photos/15675500@N00/2065976375 at shows a build-up of the rare Imai kit from the early 90s, with high-density foam and metal parts, the completed model is over 24 inches in length.
ReplyDeleteHere are some pics of the large Imai model from the 60s reissued in 2007 by a Japanese model company called History Makers. I think they had to back-engineer it from parts of the original kit.
