Hi,
When going through my box of scrap Spacex toys all very battered, I found enough bits to put together a couple of Nuclear Freighters.
I decided to swap parts over to create a complete yellow one and a green one.
To complete the traffic lights, I included my red one from the 2005 and Beyond toys.
Cheers,
Kevin

Heh! I like that, Kevin. Very inspired!

Thanks, much appreciated. I felt sorry for them languishing in the spares box.
ReplyDeleteFab line up Kev! What's the base they're on?
ReplyDeleteThanks. They're on a lunar landscape that I made years ago from an old shelf, covered in expanding foam and car body filler and sprayed to look moon-like!

ReplyDeleteLuv it Kev! I have so many Spacex bits-&-pieces that really need to be used somehow. Maybe using them to make the equivalent of a space junkyard - something in the vein of Andy Griffith's short-lived 'Salvage 1' TV series.
ReplyDeleteThe junkyard idea sounds great.
DeleteAnother great line-up of models. Well done.
ReplyDeleteThanks.
DeleteNice work. I remembered seeing those SpaceX toys in my local Woolworths back in the 60's and being blown away!
ReplyDeleteI always remembered the Nuclear Freighter as being lemon yellow and sure enough, a quick check revealed that to be the case. However, those were the early production models with separate tail fins.
Your resurrected types are the later one piece mouldings!
Yep, the yellow shade changed with the moulded fins. Actually, my green one is the type with the separate fins but they'd broken off! The moulded in green topped version is sadly missing from my collection.
