Jetgarry is from the Machine Robo toy line. You may know Machine Robo as GoBots which is what we got here in the states. The MR were smaller than this, much like Matchbox cars were smaller than their carriers. When the MRs were in vehicle mode, you could fit 3 on top and 2 on the bottom, as indicated by the text in the lower right corner on the box.
Alternate box can be seen here along with the back/sides https://www.ebay.com/itm/Machine-Robo-Jet-Garry-Trailer-Gobot-Popy/202251406588?_trkparms=aid%3D222007%26algo%3DSIC.MBE%26ao%3D2%26asc%3D50998%26meid%3D92b6c7b7ca99480a92df5077d238aadb%26pid%3D100011%26rk%3D1%26rkt%3D2%26sd%3D192463120028%26itm%3D202251406588&_trksid=p2047675.c100011.m1850
Seems the wings fold down on the front part and it may have a friction motor in it but I am unsure of the latter, just guessing by the pics on the box.
Thanks very much Lance. very insightful and a toy I just don't know. I can't help think that given the Japanese love of all things Anderson that many Manga vehicles are homages to those in his shows. Thanks for the links. You know your stuff!
