I should have checked Kev! According to the web, The Walkman was developed by Japanese technology giant, Sony, in the late 1970s, and was launched in Japan in summer 1979, and the USA in 1980. So too late for Blakes.

ReplyDeleteDunno, they might have done, it crops up in season 1, which was filmed in 1977. Not sure when the Walkman came out?
