This is a bit different, an attempt to make what looks like a piece of old masonry bearing the symbols of the Gorillas, Chimps and Orangutans but, mysteriously, also the Human astronauts in equal prominence.
Made from plasticard, milliput and a bathroom tile!
A very different piece of modelmaking! The broken corner extending through the work is an inspired choice. It almost feels more like prop making, with the result some long lost artefact. I'd be tempted to dust the whole thing over with cement powder and wipe it off the highlights to get that whole centuries of grime vibe!
You make a lot of stuff Kevin.
ReplyDeleteSome I love, some not so much.
But this is a work of art.
Well done. Inspired !
Thanks, much appreciated.
DeleteYou make loads of stuff Kevin, where do you keep it all?
ReplyDeleteAt the moment, all shoved in storage as I'm trying to move but that is proving much harder than I'd like!
DeleteGreat stuff Kev. It really does look like masonry. Amazing work!
ReplyDeleteYou will have to hang it on the wall of the new house Kev!
ReplyDeleteThat is glorious, you really captured the "hieroglyphics" nature of those iconic POTA props!
ReplyDeleteThanks, I'm pleased with how it turned out.

ReplyDeleteThat cement powder idea is interesting! Not sure I've got the nerve! I do have the cement though!
