KONAMI EAGLES AND HAWK

Here's some photos of Konami's Space 1999 collection, well the one's I have anyway.

The first is the Rescue Eagle which came in one of two premium packs containing S.I.D. from UFO and either Fireball XL5 or the Rescue Eagle.

The Mark IX Hawk which appeared in the episode War Games. A rare white version of this model  was also released exclusively for the Wonderfest Exhibition in Japan 2005.

Finally, a standard white Eagle Transporter. Both the Eagle models have detachable pods, and are 115 mm long, while the Hawk is  slightly shorter at 100 mm long.

  1. Nicely photographed. I have these too, I really like the Konami stuff (the Eagles are perhaps not their best). Still missing the Shadair heavy transporter annoyingly!

  2. Thanks Kev. I know what you mean about the Konami Eagles, what with the solid gantry. I like the Konami stuff too, although I don't have them all (I'm not even sure how many Gerry Anderson related items there are!)
I might be wrong but isn't the Shadair Transporter part of the big set, or is it something that came out separately?

  3. You're right, the big set of UFO stuff contained the transport aircraft and the moonmobile which weren't sold seperately. I managed to get a lone moonmobile on ebay. The big set is too pricey and I already have all the others!

  4. Yeah, you're right about the price of the UFO set, well OTT. I remember seeing it for fifty quid at a Memorabilia one time, and to be honest I wasn't evem tempted. it's funny how you kick yourself later on ; D

  5. If anyone is interested I am compiling a Konami web site that will list (with photographs)all the Konami models. As a collector of Konami, espically the Gerry Anderson, which I have them all, I started this due to limited infromation avaible. The site is: http://konamicollections.com/ it is in progress, but I am working on it everyday.
