Hi Woodsy
Here's some pictures. I have to build a background better than a desktop :) hope you like..

Postscript

The figures to this toy range intrigued me when I saw them earlier today.

They reminded me of these figures from the board game Buck Rogers Battle for the 25th Century Game by TSR.

Is there a connection?

  1. Did matchbox do a sort of comic strip to advertise these toys EW?

  2. The vehicle on the right reminds me of the SHADO 2 toy that Dinky released. What inspired Adventure 2000 EW?

  3. Great toys. Late 70s I think. I had the Raider Command and the Flight Hunter. Saw them in a toy shop in Bridlington and had to have them. The Raider Command appeared in a 2000AD Judge Dredd story. The SHADO Mobile like vehicle was the Rocket Striker. Sadly I never had one of those.

    2. Love those blue versions! So many different vehicles. Those figures remind me of the Buck Rogers in the 20th Century Board Game figures. What are they?

    4. art from a 2000ad forum no credit but i remembers a 2000ad cover with they big detachable land track one in some cursed earth story

the full range included cards part of normal matchbox lines just repainted. Im hoping i have some in dads roof still.

i had some figures age 7 and they were silver plastic and a bit like the infantry with tank sets (i had a leopard tank too)

I saw figs 1977 ish and i dont think i saw a 2000ad till about 1980 or a good look till later so i cany remember if the series of cars profiled here here actually dredd or just same vintage that kinda a bit looked like dredd. Looking at pictures above makes me thing they were not dredd. The poses look like dredd, also remind me of strrontium dog. But there was a tie in to dredd comic i dont know how much.
