Mine and Bill's latest creation, an original custom 'toy' of our own:

  2. Not sure a 'two pipe problem' actually means smoking two different pipes, but I love the 'tie in' toy idea.

I love this - your best 'vintage toy' custom yet. I probably read all the Sherlock Holmes stories a few decades ago. Why so few actual Sherlock Holmes toys ?

    1. Good question Paul, Hound of the Baskervilles was an X rated film when it came out. Maybe all Sherlock's stuff is for adults really.

  4. Carbuncles are expensive, as are busts air guns and geese.

Holmes never wore a Deerstalker or smoked Calabash/Meerschaum pipes—that’s a Yankee dodge:

    1. Our toy was cheap and very Hammer Horror in spirit. The links were interesting thanks, the first especially. I had no idea there was a important Connecticut Holmes actor with a castle there! Looks like a great day out, esp. if you went by ferry across the lake.
