Ed's Moon Crawlers

Woodsy,

Here's Moon crawlers - or whatever name people want to attach to them. The red TAT crawler's wheel has been fixed but I haven't updated the photos.

Those are really nice, especially side by side.

  2. Great vehicles, but their guard rails/connecting bars seem slanted.
Was that part of the design, or have they got bent, over time ?

    1. Designed that way Mish. They were marketed as 'flip-over' cars and the angled wires were meant to right them in that instance.

  3. The legend! One of the most recognizable designs of the space age - I love 'em! SFZ

    1. They are nice but they can be pricey in working condition. Many of them, like my yellow-wheeled Space Explorer 1, are missing the tires.

  4. Its nice to see the conical 'light' from the back of the SWORD Space Glider on the back of the white one. Bill

  5. There really is a Gerry Anderson vibe to these two, what with T21 as in TV21 and the general MSV'ness of the white one, not to mention Bills SWORD on/off switch. Century 21 Toys would eventually release their 'own' flip-iver car, The Action Traveller in a gorgeous box. I say 'owned" because many online examples appear to be a repacked toy by AA. Comparison with the box art is the way to check you have the right toy. Always worth checking!
